Re: FX37 activity

Keith -- Here are some Delta 100 shots from my MINOX 35GT with 7 mins development in FX37 1+3 dilution and they were not so dense -- I have done a 16x12" Exhibition print from this one for my Club. http://www.flickr.com/photos/25850987@N03/8019008437/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/25850987@N03/801900...

Re: FX37 activity

Keith -- you have 'sharp eyes' !! -- but I'm sure it was a typing error as I take 70mls of FX37 and make up to 280mls with water for a 120 film in my Paterson Major II (Old model) -- Peter

FX37 activity

Does the Crawley Formula FX37 INCREASE in activity on storage similar to some other developers ? I mixed up some FX37 some weeks ago and did some 35mm Ilford Delta 100 outdated in it and got some good negs at 7 mins so I used some outadted Delta 100 120 size when we had some heavy frost here in Esse...

Re: developer not listed

Yes, your results are good -- but if it is a 'HOMEBREW SOUP' why is the FORMULA not publshed so we can make it up ourselves instead of having to go to a Spanish site and BUY it ?

Re: Pushing Delta 3200

You had some 'Heavy Water' once in your country made by the Germans -- if you get it out of the lake where it was sunk I bet you could use that to develop your film !

'Outdated Film' developer

I read in APUG Forum Articles about a developer for 'outdated films' which came from a Photographic Scientist in Czechoslovakia as after WWII only outdated film was available there -- I have been doing some tests - -here it is : Metol 12grams Sodium Sulphite anhyd. 48grams Di-Sodium Phosphate cryst....

Strange 'micro-bubbles' on film

I developed a Fuji Neopan 400 120 for a friend today; usually I have no trouble with strange things happening in various developers I have used, such as Tetenal Neopress HC 1+31, Promicrol 1+14, and my home-made Acutol S (FX15 Formula) 1+1 or 1+3 but today I used the FX15 1+1 and found the back of t...

Re: Ilford film paper

When I was at School at the East Ham Grammar School Photographic Society in 1951we made up our own developers from the basic chemicals, as shown by the Chemistry Master and it was VERY CHEAP--- and I still do it today ! You probably have Metol, Hydroquinone, Sodium Sulphite, Sodium Carbonate and Pot...

Re: Paper developer without hydrochinon

I would like to know what is the 'cancer risk' with Hydroquinone as I've had two lots,Prostate and Lymphoma and have bee messing about with Hydroquinone since starting mixing my own in 1951 ! I do not get it on my fingers in powder form or breath in as I mix but I do put my fingers into developers c...

Welcome back here ! I HOLD polarising filters over lenses having looked through to get the right angle-- it is much cheaper to use a Cokin one than buy a Leitz or Hasselblad one !
