Re: Mixing Eco Pro Developer - what kinda water"
dfbldwn: what kind of water to use may depend on what is in your tap water. it is my understanding that most photo chemicals today contain an ingredient to combat some hard water contaminants. if you think it is pretty free of rust, or other impurities, tap water is the way to go. if you think it is...

never used this formula, but have used formula for parodinal. much simpler, works about the same, I guess. Another alternative would be Kenny's version. See previous posts.

Re: Minox Compact Camera.
as I seem to recall, though, some of the issues with the minox are fairly easy fixes. I saved a thread on that some time back when I thought about buying one off the 'bay. not too sure I have it anymore. they do look like nifty little pocket cameras.

Re: How to properly make PaRodinal
Mixing rodinal and xtol probably did not work out in the long run. Haven't seen anything about it lately on photo.net or apug.

Re: Pan F+ in HC 110
Have tried HC-110 diluted 1:120 on a roll 120 Fomapan 400 that was out of date that I picked out of a pile. Exposed at 200, stand developed for an hour. Yankee plastic reel tank. One hour was probably a bit too long. Negs did print ok wet print. NO bromide drag or other problems. Believe St. Ansel u...

What times would you suggest, and dilution? I have found Pan F+ to be a hassle, but I am stubborn, sort of. Might like to try it again.

Re: Minox Compact Camera.
ricoh and chinon made similar cameras. I wonder if they suffered the same reliability issues as minox? in fact, they look so similar, I wonder if they aren't the same camera. aside from the reliability thing, I understand the lenses were excellent.

Re: voigtlander bessa II
due to the overwhelming response to this thread, I thought I had better give an update. found the rangefinder is indeed off; tried to fix myself, but screw to adjust the horizontal is really locked down. certo6 said he couldn't get to it until March. he is going to move to a new house. anybody have ...

I assume this is the fx-39 you referred to in you January post last year. I am guessing that you are finding it meets your standards vis a vis other developers.

Re: pushing ulterafine extreme 400 to 1600 with a gsd10 st
probably totally unrelated to OP, but have been browsing old copies of "darkroom and creative camera techniques", and in the nov/dec 1989 issue, Phil Davis gives his take on agitation, and what causes streaks and so forth. his desire for even development resulted in his "reinvention" of tube process...

Re: pushing ulterafine extreme 400 to 1600 with a gsd10 st
having pontificated as I did, I decided to check out jay defehr's website re gsd 10. enlightening. first, it is a simple formula to mix. if the picture of the little lady he posted as an example is any indicator, it looks quite good. 2nd, I would try jay's recommendation of 24' to an hour. this is s...

Re: pushing ulterafine extreme 400 to 1600 with a gsd10 st
(yawn) here we go again. If you would like to view a discussion between jay de fehr and ornello, go back aways. they fought stand to a standstill. can't agree with orny on streaking, but I have found inconsistent results with stand. I used hc-110 119 parts water to 1 part syrup. some good, some not ...

voigtlander bessa II
don't see much on this forum about equipment as about cameras, so I thought I would try something in that area. I am certainly no tyro, but not an aficionado, either. as I noted in a thread on rodinal, I had purchased an older folder, a voightlander bessa II, in what looked like very good and lightl...

back from trip to galena. got a little distracted from my intent to finish off my short roll of pan f+. much to my delight I scored a voigtlander bessa II in almost perfect shape!!! miserable overcast weather most of the time we were there, but I did manage to get a roll of extreme 400 exposed, but ...

Re: How to properly make PaRodinal
Well, pan f/rodinal combo was marginally successful; in other words, not so good. thinking about trying another approach to the pan f contrast "problem". went through my developer files looking for a formula for a compensating developer. came across one for xr-1. claims to have some compensating cha...
