I much prefer regular films like FP4, HP5 and Tri-X.

Re: Rollei RPX 25 in HC 110

What films are available there? Is FP4 or T-Max 100 available? Those are very fine grain films. Available here? In Oman? Non, nothing is available here. Oman is a "black hole" if you need any professional materials for analogue photography. I have to buy films online and bought some...

I want to use missile tracking film with litho developer and rat urine. Anybody have any suggestions on exposure and development?

Re: AgfaOrtho 25 And Rodinal

I have seen some B&W prints on the internet that were supposedly shot on Agfaortho and they have good clear gradation. I've tried to contact the photographers, but no replies. Thanks for your reply. Microfilms are extremely slow fine-grain films for document copying. They have very little latit...

Re: AgfaOrtho 25 And Rodinal

You can't. It's a high-contrast film, litho-type. Use something else.

Why do people constantly ask how to use materials in a manner for which they were not designed and intended?

There are plenty of slow fine-grain films on the market. Fuji Acros is probably the best overall.

Re: Acid type Rapid Fixers - request recommendation

Use an acid stop bath. If you don't, you will get scum on your film. I tried it, and that's what happened. You may use a plain water rinse first if you wish, but use an acid stop bath immediately thereafter. I tried going without an acid stop bath and regretted it. Just do it. Voice of experience. ...

Re: Acid type Rapid Fixers - request recommendation

But be sure to use an acid stop bath! Please review for me why an acid stop bath is superior to a 60 second wash/rinse with fresh tap water at the appropriate temperature when I use a conventional developer(e.g. Ilford DD-X or D76 1+1). I'm the last person to ignore your experience and advice. Howe...

Re: Acid type Rapid Fixers - request recommendation

Thanks to both of you. You have thwarted my ulterior motives. After pouring out Diafine's Solution B, I'd hoped to do a 60sec rinse/wash with fresh tap water (at appropriate temperature) followed by two-stage fixing with the ECO-PRO Neutral Fixer. I've been reading the old Silvergrain.org stuff acc...

Always use an acid stop bath. Kodak and Ilford make fine rapid fixers.

When is the product to be available? I don't see it on the Adox web site. The Spur Acurol-N developer is available from this site. http://www.macodirect.de/spur-acurol-250ml-p-2510.html?language=en&osCsid=782e362bc991eab30a270f24c72cd642 I still don't know if it is a Rodinal type or not, as I h...
