Some of it I have seen referred to in the formulary sections, but I don't know how they are used, in what. These were given to me by a shooter who is going into a retirement home, and closing up his darkroom. I got this stuff third-hand, so here goes:
potassium persulfate
diamenophenol
potassium ferricyanide
sodium sulfite
" bisulfite
" metabisulphite
potassium bichromate
elon
thiourea
thiocarbamide
and a real find, an unopended glass ampule of gold chloride!!!
anyway, if anyone could give me some direction, particularly the elon, i would greatly appreciate it.

I have been researching these chems, and I guess what I have is bits and peices of toners, developers, etc., but not enough to put stuff together to use effectively. I may have to order chems in to complete the formulae to use. Can't even use the gold chloride. What a shame.

OK.. here goes the old Memory banks

potassium persulfate - I think this is used in some negative intensifiers
diamenophenol - developer constituent of such formulae as Rodinal
potassium ferricyanide - bleach for prints and negatives, usually used in combination with sodium/ammonium thiosulphate(hypo) (for reduction) or potassium bromide (for bleaching when toning)
sodium sulphite - antioxidant in many Metol-Hydroquinone and Phenidone-Hydroquinone developers
" bisulphite - Useful as a stain remover
" metabisulphite - Used in place of Potassium Metabisulphite
potassium bichromate - Used in Hardening prints
elon - Metol, primary Developer constituent of MQ developers
thiourea - a toning solution. I wouldn't advise using it, I have found it poor. Barium Sulphide does a nicer job.
thiocarbamide - i used to know...
gold chloride - used in gold toning, which can significantly enhance the life of a print.

Here's what I advise you get for a B&W darkroom:

Metol
Hydroquinone
Sodium Sulphite
Sodium Carbonate
Kodalk
Borax
Sodium Bisulphite
Potassium Ferricyanide
Glacial Acetic Acid
Sulphuric Acid, Chemically pure
Potassium Bromide
Potassium Oxalate
Potassium Metabisulphite
Boracic Acid
Potassium Alum
Barium Sulphide (Use in place of Sodium Sulphide)
Ammonium Thiosulphate (Use in place of Sodium Thiosulphate/Hypo)

and of course, a decent running supply of water, hot AND cold.

Thiourea and Thiocarbamide are the same thing, used in sepia toning of prints; BE CAREFUL with the POWDER as it is CARCENOGENIC. Don't inhale the powder or get it on your fingers. Toning: 1 teaspoon Pot. Ferricyanide, 1/2 teaspoon Pot. Bromide,in 1 litre water. 1/2 teaspoon Thiourea, couple of pellets Sodium Hydroxide in 1 litre water.
Bleach out print in Ferri mix ,wash out yellow stain in water, put into Thiourea mix and you should get nice sepia tones; wash out chemicals finally.
