Replacement for kodak portra vc

Post by pagan »

I have just used my last rolls of kodak portra 160 vc, can any one recommend a replacement film giving the same color saturation as the old vc ?
I have tried ektar 100 as this is supposed to be a saturated film , but i find the colors are just to washed out.
I know the problem is not with the processing as I sent two films, one portra and one ektra to the same pro lab,at the same time as a test, and the same Mamiya 645 was used for both films

Portra 160 is the replacement. An excellent film!

I have tried both of the films mentioned, but find the results slightly lacking in depth of color .I guess after using VC for so long I am a little stuck in my ways . but now I must adapt go forward .
I have used Rollei bw film and that's great ,low grain and pin sharp has any one used there Redbird ?
and thanks for the replies
